What to expect
THE RETREAT PROGRAM
The retreat program is focused on deepening your own life experience, personal well-being and returning to nature. Each day you will enjoy mindful movement, meditations, yin yoga and workshops to support your self connection, mind, body and spirit. The retreat food will be healthy, nourishing and majority vegetarian options for you to enjoy the benefits of healthier choices and gently cleansing foods.
Everything is in moderation, so we will still have moments to enjoy the delicacies of the region including locally wild-caught seafood and a celebration dinner on the final night with a glass of bubbly or wine if you choose, to salute to our retreat holiday.
This is a favourite program for us and we can not wait to be hosting this again!
NINGALOO SUNSET SAIL
What a way to immerse into your retreat holiday with a sunset sail on luxury catamaran to welcome you to the region. You will instantly relax, let go of any stresses and simply enjoy the water serenity and scenery that surrounds you. We will be shown how to sail on the Exmouth Gulf, which frequently has visits from humpback whales, manta rays, sharks and a myriad of fish species. To conclude a magical sail, the sun will be setting over the spectacular Cape Range as we return to the boat harbour. These are some of the most beautiful sunsets in the region.
2-DAY NINGALOO ECO-TOUR
“Sea Kayak, Snorkel, Beach Camp and Explore National Park” This 2-day Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park eco-tour is a real adventure. We are supported in the safe hands and guidance of our trusted local tour adventure guides, with their expert knowledge and experience taking care of us with ease and comfort. This is a unique way of experiencing the Ningaloo Reef by water and time to go off grid into the Cape Range National Park.
You will begin with sea kayak in the sheltered, turquoise lagoons of Ningaloo Reef, snorkel numerous amazing sites. Turtles, rays, dugong, dolphins, reef sharks, myriad reef fish and an abundance of marine life make Ningaloo a brilliant place to kayak and snorkel. We will pace ourselves, if you haven’t sea kayaked before don’t let this stop you. After discovering Ningaloo Reef by sea kayak, in the afternoon land your kayak at your very own deserted wilderness beach camp and set up camp for the night, south of Pilgramunna. We will enjoy some afternoon relaxation and retreat reflection with sunset yin yoga to stretch out after our kayak adventure. Enjoy the sun set on the reef edge, dinner and sleep under the stars in the heart of the Cape Range National Park. Dusk and dawn are very special times to experience the Ningaloo coastline.
The next day, we will take a short kayak to our private tour van and will explore by land some of our favourite spots including bush walk at Yardie Creek, snorkel at Turquoise Bay, visit the Lighthouse and Visitors centre. We also regularly see kangaroos, wallabies, emu, echidna and birds of prey. These two days exploring Ningaloo Reef will help you to slow down, minimalise and enjoy getting back to nature… And there will be plenty of smiles and breath taking moments to be enjoyed along the way.
On one of your retreat days, you will have an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon activity on Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP) on the calm waters of the Exmouth Gulf. This includes an introduction how to use SUP and leisurely paddle, supported by our local adventure guide.
WHALE SHARK SWIM AND BOAT DAY TRIP
[OPTIONAL] This is definitely one for the bucket list! We have reserved a day for you to enjoy a day boat cruise on the Ningaloo and swim with the whalesharks. There is an option to enjoy the day cruise without swimming with the whalesharks, and you still can snorkel, swim with the manta rays (if there is an opportunity) if you prefer. This is an add-on activity to your travel package.
RETREAT HOUSE AND SURROUNDS
You will enjoy time out to relax on the canal waterfront deck or by the poolside at your leisure. The beach is only a short walk away should you feel like and we will also enjoy some movement sessions.
The Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort is a short walk also, which offers resort amenities and comforts. On our final evening we will enjoy a 3-course dinner together with local seafood and culinary delights.

MORE ABOUT DESTINATION NINGALOO REEF
Located on Australia’s North West Coastline within Australia’s Coral Coast region, you will explore the ocean paradise of Ningaloo and the surrounding Cape Range National Park. Our retreat base will be on the canals of Exmouth town and with walking access to town beach.
Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia has gained an impressive reputation as one of Earth’s last ocean paradises. The reef is 320 kilometers long and is Australia’s largest fringing coral reef and the only large reef positioned very close to the mainland. It can range from 150 meters to 15 kilometers offshore and encompasses a massive 5,000 square-kilometers of an ocean with 500 species of tropical fish and 220 species of coral in all. Ningaloo Reef is famous for swimming with whale sharks, and it’s superb for snorkeling and diving. The beaches of the reef are an important breeding ground of the loggerhead, green and hawksbill turtles. You will be amazed to see a huge variety of wildlife, both marine and terrestrial. The sheltered lagoons have the clearest turquoise water imaginable. Within the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park, there are numerous sanctuary zones, totaling 34% of the total area, all with outstanding natural features and attractions.
Ningaloo Reef beaches are ideal swimming, ‘learn to SUP/surf’ beaches. These beaches predominantly have white sandy bottoms instead of reef or coral so you don’t have to worry about falling off. The snorkeling on offer is phenomenal. Inside the reef it is rarely more than four meters deep, perfect for even novice snorkelers. Our adventure guides has discovered some excellent unnamed snorkel spots that are accessible only by kayak.
